A field-level protective intelligence tool for Threat Assessment & Management Teams.
SafeWatch Team™
Discretion. Collection. Actionable Information.
Since 1995
The SafeWatch Team™ is comprised of qualified field practitioners with deep experience in discreetly gathering information in complex, high-sensitivity situations⎯always in full compliance with legal and ethical standards. Information is immediately analyzed and the intelligence product provided to the TAMT. The team's client base includes Threat Assessment & Management Teams, leading California universities, ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, small businesses and Fortune 1000 organizations. The following are a small sample of field-level protective intelligence findings the SafeWatch Team™ has provided Threat Assessment & Management Teams during credible threats of violence on a targeted person, school or workplace: ✔ Video evidence of Person of Concern (POC) violating a TRO.
✔ Identified friends and relatives of POC, which led to TAMT contacting said identified persons for a successful intervention.
✔ Knowing POC's activity and location 24/7, which reduced stress levels of employees working at the targeted employer ⎯ versus not knowing POC's activity and location during the time of a threatened violent attack.
✔ Determined POC’s vehicle and plate number so posted security at the targeted workplace could be on lookout for said POC's vehicle if the SafeWatch element were directed to discontinue watching POC.
✔ POC video recorded by SWT members as POC put up a sign at his residence indicating possession of prohibited weapon, which said evidentiary video was used to help Los Angeles County Sheriff secure a search warrant for POC residence.
✔ Observations of outward behaviors by POCs, to include wearing tee-shirts with violent logos and POC associating with identified persons who had criminal records of violence.

Knowing a Person of Concern's real-time activity and location should be an important option of a plan to protect a person, workplace or school from a violent attack.
⸻
❝If you are a CEO, General Counsel or Human Resource executive and there is a current threat of a workplace violence attack, you may want to ask the person charged with protecting your employees if she/he knows the current activity and location of the Person of Concern who has made the violent threat. If not, why not?❞
⸻
Consideration of conducting a SafeWatch on a Person of Concern in real time is recommended by ASIS/SHRM WVP.1-2011 for consideration as part of official protocol for managing a threat and preventing a violent attack. American National Standards Institute ASIS/SHRM WVP.1-2011 http://ansi.org There are sound reasons not to conduct a SafeWatch on a POC, and there are sound reasons and/or a legal duty why an employer should conduct a SafeWatch.
